Reports to bureaus
Perpay+ and separate Mastercard: Experian, Equifax and TransUnion
The standard Marketplace by itself does NOT promise Plus-style furnishing. Card reporting is a different revolving account; Perpay+ account classification needs confirmation.
Reports & scores from bureaus
Perpay+ advertises monthly score/progress tools; model and full 3-bureau report access unverified
Payment furnishing to three bureaus does not imply three scores, three full credit reports or immediate score changes.
Marketplace — shopping program
$0 membership fee
Cost of merchandise, taxes and shipping
Upfront: Required payroll funding for orders; item costs vary
- Interest-free installment purchases from the Perpay Marketplace
- Qualifying shopping limit subject to payroll eligibility
- Order tracking and optional protection where offered
- No guaranteed independent three-bureau reporting without Perpay+
- Prices and shipping may be higher than alternatives
- Spending limit is not withdrawable cash
Best fit: Eligible shoppers who have compared full retail prices and can afford payroll repayments.
Perpay+ — reporting and scores
$5/mo
$60 across 12 monthly charges

- Monthly credit score/progress/insights
- No Marketplace purchase required
- Not automatically included in Marketplace
- Payment reporting may start 30–60 days after qualifying activation
- Exact tradeline classification and score impact uncertain
Best fit: Eligible payroll/benefit recipients who specifically want a low-cost stand-alone reported account.
Perpay Mastercard — plastic
$5.50 or $9/mo service in year one (offer-dependent)
$9 opening + service = $75–$117 first year; then $108/yr fees
Upfront: $9 opening and qualifying payroll deposit; not a security deposit
Card agreement: variable purchase APR 27.99%–29.99%; other fees extra
- Separate unsecured Celtic Bank Mastercard subject to approval
- Eligible merchant purchases, three-bureau revolving account furnishing
- 2% of eligible payments as Perpay Marketplace credit, not cash back
- Monthly service charge even though no annual fee
- APR, $24 max late/returned fee, 3% foreign fee may apply
- Approval, limit and lower $5.50 offer are not guaranteed
Best fit: Approved customers who can repay card charges and genuinely need an unsecured purchase card.
Optional metal Mastercard
Same underlying card monthly service as plastic
Plastic first-year card fees plus $35 = $110–$152
Upfront: $9 opening and optional $35 metal material charge
- Same card reporting and borrowing terms
- Optional metal card material
- Metal doesn't create a higher limit or more bureau reporting
- APR/other card fees still apply
- A separately paid Perpay+ subscription adds $60/year if chosen
Best fit: Only approved customers who specifically value the optional card material.
This button opens Perpay+ reporting. Marketplace shopping and the Mastercard have separate official links above; Perpay affiliate approval is still pending.
Perpay affiliate application remains PENDING; AIOC has no approved tracking link or documented commission. Marketplace, Plus and Mastercard have separate eligibility, costs and cancellation routes. Do not auto-recommend paying for card AND Plus.
Eligibility
- Age generally 18+, verifiable U.S. identity
- Qualifying payroll/benefit funding; some SSI, SSDI and VA supported
- Common 1099/gig work may be ineligible
- Personalized approval/credit review and payroll deposit requirements
- No savings balance returned on ordinary shopping or card service fees
Three Perpay products — which one do you need?
Marketplace, Perpay+ and Perpay Mastercard are distinct. Costs and bureau furnishing depend on what you activate; the existing $5 Perpay+ service is not an everywhere credit card.
Marketplace — shopping, not cash
Membership is free, but goods, tax, shipping and optional protection cost money. Interest-free does not always mean the lowest total shopping price. Ordinary Marketplace use doesn't automatically activate Plus reporting.
Perpay+ — $5/month reporting
Optional $5 monthly reporting and score-insight service for verified customers. You don't need to buy anything in the Marketplace. Qualifying payment activity is advertised to the three major bureaus.
Mastercard — separate debt and fees
A separately approved unsecured Celtic Bank Mastercard can be used for eligible merchants, but $9 opening, monthly service fees, possible interest, and payroll requirements apply. Metal only adds a $35 material charge.
Important payroll, cancellation and affiliate details
Marketplace orders and card payments must still be repaid after signup or cancellation. Stopping an account does not automatically stop employer deposits. The Mastercard is not included in Plus, and Plus is not mandatory for the card. AIOC's publisher application is pending; no approved Perpay affiliate tracking link has been recorded.
Consumer report checked October 10, 2026. Final personalized card terms and payroll qualification control; credit-score improvement is never guaranteed.
Who It May Be Best For
Someone with stable qualifying payroll or supported benefit deposits who wants verified three-bureau reporting from Perpay+ without purchasing goods, or who genuinely needs the Marketplace or a separately approved card and can afford the complete cost. Choose the product according to your needs.
Who May Want Another Option
People who lack qualifying payroll, need emergency cash, want a no-fee spend-anywhere card, have existing unaffordable debts, or need guaranteed instant bureau reporting should look elsewhere. Marketplace shopping can cost more than the same products at competing retailers, despite no interest.
How It Works
Marketplace: receive an individualized shopping limit, purchase selected goods and repay through eligible payroll deposits; the Marketplace alone does not guarantee Plus reporting. Perpay+: separately opt into $5/month bureau reporting and monthly score/progress tools, subject to payroll activation; shopping is not required. Perpay Mastercard: apply for separate Celtic Bank unsecured revolving credit, fund the qualifying payroll allocation and repay card charges. Card and Plus can be held together but have separate fees, reporting and cancellation procedures.
Pricing and Fees
Marketplace membership: $0, but merchandise, taxes, shipping and optional protection still cost money. Perpay+: $5/month, $60 over 12 months; no merchandise required. Mastercard: $9 one-time opening fee plus $5.50 or $9/month first-year service fee under individualized offers ($75–$117 in first-year fees before interest), $9/month afterward ($108/year). Optional metal material costs another $35 once ($110–$152 initial-year fees). Card plus Perpay+ totals $135–$177 in first-year plastic-card fees ($170–$212 with metal); don't buy both just to chase score points. Published September 2026 card agreement lists 27.99%–29.99% variable purchase APR, up to $24 late/returned-payment fees, 3% foreign fee and $1 minimum assessed interest. No annual card fee does not mean no service fees or interest. Discounts and limits are offer-specific.
Credit Bureau Reporting
Perpay+ advertises reporting the qualifying Perpay-related account/limit and payment performance monthly to Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. Standard Marketplace shopping without Plus does not promise that same reporting. Perpay+ normally starts after 30–60 days of qualifying activation; data cutoff around the 15th and submission around the 21st. The separately approved Mastercard furnishes revolving account activity to the same three bureaus, with cutoff around the 7th–13th and submission around the 28th. Dates are company schedules, not guaranteed first visible dates; bureau processing and scores differ. Exact Perpay+ tradeline coding/utilization method is unresolved.
Eligibility
Generally adult U.S. residents with verifiable identity and qualifying payroll/direct-deposit arrangements. Standard Marketplace criteria often center on W-2 full-time employment, but verified SSI, SSDI and VA recipients have supported options; most self-employed/1099 cases do not qualify without appropriate third-party payroll. Identity checks, Clarity alternative-credit data, debt/bankruptcy restrictions and individual underwriting may apply. A no-hard-inquiry advertisement is not an unconditional approval or no screening. Card approval requires a qualifying payroll deposit within 60 days; cards are not instantly available for everyone.
Important Limitations
No-interest Marketplace purchasing is not necessarily the lowest price for goods, and shipping, returns, restocking or protection may cost extra. The Marketplace's payroll payment does not become savings or cash. Card purchases accrue interest when conditions for avoiding it aren't met; no annual fee doesn't eliminate recurring service fees. Perpay+ is not required to buy merchandise or apply for the card. Canceling the Marketplace, Plus, card and payroll allocation are separate steps; stopping service does not erase purchases or debt and does not automatically stop an employer deposit. There is no guaranteed reporting/score effect, instant approval, free return or refund.
Alternatives
Kikoff Basic has a $5/month Kikoff tradeline with three-bureau furnishing that can only be used for Kikoff products and services; Self is a held-proceeds installment credit-builder loan with finance cost; Kovo is a financed service purchase and does not release loan proceeds. A verified bank-issued secured card may better fit everyday spending if you can safely fund its deposit. Compare full purchase prices before choosing Perpay Marketplace for electronics or household goods.
Final Summary
Perpay+ can be a low-cost $5/month standalone reporting service for eligible payroll-funded customers; ordinary Marketplace shopping doesn't include that benefit automatically. The unsecured Mastercard is a separate loan product with opening/monthly service fees, APR and risk. Decide whether you truly need Marketplace purchases, Plus reporting, card borrowing or none of these before enrolling.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to shop on Perpay to use Perpay+?
No. Perpay+ is a separately paid $5/month credit-reporting service for qualified customers and does not require buying merchandise.
Does the free Marketplace automatically report to the credit bureaus?
Not as an independent Plus-equivalent benefit. Perpay+ must be activated for its three-bureau reporting. A separately approved Mastercard has its own reporting program.
Is the Perpay Mastercard free because it has no annual fee?
No. Disclosed fees include a $9 opening fee, $5.50 or $9 monthly service in year one depending on offer and $9 monthly later, plus possible interest and other charges.
Is Perpay's Mastercard a secured card?
No. The separately issued card is unsecured. Qualifying payroll deposits are a payment mechanism, not a refundable secured-card deposit.
Which bureaus receive Perpay+ payments?
Perpay advertises Experian, Equifax and TransUnion; Plus's exact tradeline classification is not fully established in public evidence. Reporting normally begins within 30–60 days after qualifying activation, with no guaranteed first visible date.
Do I need payroll direct deposit?
Eligible payroll or accepted benefit direct deposits are required for applicable products. Perpay supports some SSI, SSDI and VA benefit users, while ordinary gig/1099 work is generally ineligible.
Does the card earn 2% cash back?
Current card rewards are described as 2% of eligible payments in Perpay Marketplace credit, not universal cash back or a card-statement credit. Older qualifying cards may have different legacy terms.
