Common concerns
Other reviews describe older billing, reporting interruption and communication problems during the historic transition. They do not establish current Smart Card performance.

StellarFi product transition: read before applying
Research checked October 10, 2026. Prices, membership inclusion and availability are subject to provider terms.
Original service retired
Old Lite/Prime bill-payment reporting is not a current $4.99 signup product. Legacy tradelines closed or were scheduled to close in May 2026.
New card, conditional access
Silver, Gold and Stellarite use different collateral and fees; the final accepted offer and actual availability control.
Reporting ≠ approval
Three-bureau furnishing is advertised for activated accounts, not guaranteed signup or credit-score improvement.
Who It May Be Best For
Later consideration only for eligible adults who specifically need a digital credit card and can afford required collateral, annual charges and purchase repayments. Do not treat the new card as a confirmed widely issued alternative until onboarding is verified.
Who May Want Another Option
Anyone seeking the discontinued Lite/Prime bill-pay membership, a verified immediately available physical card, emergency cash, rent-history reporting or a guaranteed score change should choose another researched option.
How It Works
StellarFi's legacy service paid qualifying recurring bills and furnished separate reporting history. The company scheduled legacy tradelines to close May 7, 2026. The newer TAB Bank Visa Smart Card is a different proposed account: depending on approved tier, a user may place full, partial or no collateral, make actual card purchases and repay them. Silver, Gold and Stellarite are advertised levels. The old bill list, limits, payment history and account agreements do not automatically transfer to the Smart Card. Current nationwide live availability has not been verified.
Pricing and Fees
The retired Lite $4.99/month and Prime $9.99/month subscription prices are NOT current Smart Card enrollment prices. New card public sources advertise Silver $0 annual fee, Gold approximately $49 or $50 annual fee, Stellarite approximately $99 or $100 annual fee—the website FAQ and card agreement differ. A card agreement lists 29.99% APR, 3% foreign transaction fee, $25 late fee and $40 returned-payment fee. Exact collateral, annual fee, interest and rewards terms depend on the accepted card agreement. Rewards multipliers are NOT proven cashback percentages.
Credit Bureau Reporting
StellarFi's new card help names Experian, Equifax and TransUnion for monthly card activity reporting, including missed payments. That is not evidence of three monitored scores or of rent/bill furnishing under the discontinued plan. Up to 30 days AFTER actual furnishing is described for bureau appearance; activation and first submission time remain unverified. No fixed days-from-signup or score increase can be promised.
Eligibility
Advertised adult application requirements include identity, U.S. bank account, contact details and income assessment; generally 18+ or 19 in Alabama. No hard application inquiry is advertised. Approval, tier, deposit/collateral, limits, access, state availability and card delivery remain conditional. The new card has digital-only positioning in current support content.
Historical Reporting
The legacy Bill Pay tradelines were scheduled to close effective May 7, 2026. Their history does not automatically migrate to a separate new card. Check your actual bureau reports and any remaining obligations; don't infer old history has been erased.
Ongoing Reporting
A separately approved activated Smart Card may furnish monthly account performance to Experian, Equifax and TransUnion; delinquency can also be reported. First-cycle dates and account eligibility require verification.
Verification Process
Confirm StellarFi currently accepts and issues cards in your state. Read the actual cardholder and deposit agreements; verify identity, cash flow and bank, pay applicable collateral, then await approved activation. Do not provide deposits on the assumption that an online application guarantees issuance.
Important Limitations
Current Smart Card fulfillment and broad enrollment are unverified. Gold collateral percentages and fee documents conflict; no universally available fee quote should be promised. APR/foreign/late/returned-payment fees and card balances may cost money and affect credit. Deposits are not spendable cash or repayment of purchases. Old Lite/Prime marketing is obsolete. Historical Trustpilot complaints concern mostly legacy operations, not verified new card outcomes. AIOC is not an approved StellarFi affiliate.
Alternatives
Compare current verified credit-building programs such as Self's held-proceeds installment product, Kikoff's tradeline, or Kovo's financed-service account when those structures suit you. If you need a usable secured card, check the current bank-issued card's own eligibility and terms. StellarFi's old rent/bill reporting should not be recommended instead of verified rent services.
Final Summary
StellarFi is undergoing a material transition from legacy bill-pay reporting into an advertised Visa Smart Card. The old Lite/Prime subscription shouldn't be sold as current, and new card pricing, broad enrollment and issuance aren't fully verified. Our status is Needs Verification: read official terms but do not treat it as a currently confirmed credit-building option.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is StellarFi still a $4.99/month bill-reporting plan?
No. Lite/Prime are historical bill-pay offers. Its legacy tradelines were scheduled to close May 7, 2026; the company now markets a different Smart Card.
Can I get a Silver, Gold or Stellarite card today?
A public application form and marketing exist, but broad issuance and current availability for each location/tier have not been independently verified. Check directly before applying.
Is Silver free?
A $0 annual fee is advertised for Silver, but it requires full qualifying security collateral. Card purchases still need repayment.
Does the new card report to three bureaus?
StellarFi's support content says the Smart Card furnishes to Experian, Equifax and TransUnion monthly after activation, but does not promise an exact first appearance date.
Are historical StellarFi Trustpilot reviews about the new card?
Generally no. Most available reviews concern the former subscription and its later transition; don't treat them as proof of current Smart Card performance.
